How to get from:
Take bus or minibus 39 from outside the terminal building to the Moskovskaya metro station. Enter the station and take the metro to Tekhnologichesky Institut-2 (direct on Line 2, direction Parnas). On arrival, transfer to Tekhnologichesky Institut-1 and take Line 1 in the direction of Devyatkino to Ploshchad Vosstaniya. Take the exit for Ulitsa Vosstaniya. Leaving the station, turn right onto ulitsa Vosstaniya and walk for around 200m up the street until you get to ulitsa Vosstaniya 11.
We’re just a few minutes’ walk from the Moscow Station. Leaving the station’s main exit, turn immediately left, cross Ligovsky Prospekt at the lights, turn right and then cross Nevsky Prospekt (look for the circular building of the Ploshchad Vosstaniya metro station). Take ulitsa Vosstaniya, to the left hand side of the metro station building, and walk up it around 200m until you get to ulitsa Vosstaniya 11, where you’ll see the hotel.

The Friends on Vosstaniya mini-hotel is just a few hundred meters from the famous Moscow Station, while Petersburg’s most famous thoroughfare, Nevsky Prospekt, is just 200 meters away. The major sights of the city are all within easy walking distance or just a short public transport hop away. The nearest metro station to the hotel is Ploshchad Vosstaniya, and there’s no shortage of cafés, restaurants or shopping centres in the neighbourhood.
Finding the hotel is extremely simple: just follow the numbers of the houses as you walk down the street until you get to number 11. Then press the button on the Friends on Vosstaniya entry phone and you’ll be buzzed in. Reception is on the second floor.

Having fun
There’s absolutely no lack of things to do in this neighbourhood. The area surrounding Ploshchad Vosstaniya (Uprising Square) is the centre of St Petersburg’s burgeoning artistic and musical scene, with the famous Pushkinskaya 10 art centre and the more contemporary Loft Projekt ETAGI a short walk away on Ligovsky Prospekt. There are also plenty of excellent music venues around here, including Zoccolo, Fish Fabrique and the famous Oktyabrsky Concert Hall. The city’s main street, Nevsky Prospekt, is also right here, with cafes, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes.
